Want to Learn More About Vincent van Gogh?

Want a quick idea of Vincent van Gogh without picking up a book?  60 Minutes did a 25 minutes synopsis on Mr. van Gogh’s life, but mostly focusing on his death. The story was inspired by co-authors Steven Naifeh and Greg Smith who wrote the new biography: Van Gogh. They believe that van Gogh did not take his own life, but yet someone took it for him.

Watch the 60 Minutes video yourself and see what you think.

Art’s most powerful People

You have no idea how happy this ArtReview article makes me!  ArtReview magazine has named its 100 most powerful people in the art world for 2011!! I cannot wait to explore all of these wonderful people.

I was most please to see Ai Weiwei with his porcelain sunflower seeds as number 1 on this list.  He was finally released in June on bail from “detention” for 81 days for his “economic crimes”, although it is believed it was more related to his outspoken politics (go him!).

See the top 10 most powerful artist on the BBC News article.

Here is the list (without images) of all 100 artist.
